Be part of the movement…to make our economy healthy and resilient to the ups and downs of the global market. New London Local First is a network of locally-owned independent businesses formed in 2007 to build a strong New London economy and a vibrant community.

We do this by:

• Organizing a New London Local First campaign that raises the awareness of consumers, businesses, and government agencies regarding the benefits of purchasing from locally-owned independent businesses.
• Bringing together locally-owned independent businesses for mutual benefit and networking opportunities.
• Supporting New London ordinances, regulations and policies that promote locally-owned independent businesses.
• Collaborating with other organizations that promote and advance locally-owned, independent businesses.

New London Local First is an affiliate of Thames Valley Sustainable Connections, Inc. (TVSC), a 501(c)(3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization. TVSC is part of the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies, which has more than 60 Local First campaigns across the U.S. and Canada.
